A. Louis Armstrong was one of the pioneers of the great music genre of jazz which shaped American culture in the 1920's. B. He helped popularize the one of my music genres and I still listen to his songs which include one of if not his most popular song, "What a Wonderful World". C. People recognize some of his songs as the classics and jazz is still a big genre.
A. Alexander Graham Bell was the inventor of the first practical telephone. Communication over long distances was revolutionized and used all over the country. B. I use my phone whether it be to talk to my family or text friends and it all stemmed from Bell's invention. C. People all over the world use the telephone and cellphone to talk to each other over very long distances instantaneously.
A. The stock market crash of 1929 brought about the Great Depression, putting millions without jobs and many more homeless. B. I learned about how these kinds of disasters can be avoided. C. People still go back and remember how it was during the Great Depression and how to make it better.
A. The 17th amendment made it so that Senators were elected by the people instead of being placed in the position of power by the government. B. I have a always had a sense of value for the ability to select who will lead the country and make it better place, so having the right to vote for the people who go into office really gives a sense of freedom. C. Senators are now elected by the citizens and not by the government, reducing the corruption in our government,
A. The factory fire changed the working conditions for the factories for the better. B. I don't even like being near anything that is dangerous, let alone working near it for over 10 hours a day, so seeing that they at least started making the factories safer makes me feel better about factory jobs. C. In America, all buildings must have a certain number of exits and ways to get out in case of a fire.
A. Women all around the country stood up for their rights and wanted their voice to be heard. B. Like the 17th amendment, it makes me feel better that everyone gets the same opportunity to decide who will lead the country and what will happen. C. Women have gained the same rights as men and are working for equality for everyone.
Karl Marx was the creator of the base ideas for communism. A. A large amount of Americans today believe that communism is a terrible thing because of the terrible acts people have done in the name of it. But despite that, his ideas helped shape the labor movement into what it was and ended up getting the middle class better working conditions. B. Personally, I am grateful for the changes that Marx's ideas brought upon the life of the working class for the better. C. The changes that Karl Marx's ideas brought about still exist today and benefit everyone.
A. The Wright Brothers created the first flying machine with a pilot and opened the way for air transportation in America and the world. B. Me and my family use planes to travel long distances whether it be for vacation or a family event and makes the travel time much shorter. C. All around the world, planes are used to not not just move people, but supplies, packages, and mail to people on different parts of the world.
A. President Franklin D. Roosevelt was elected during the Great Depression and helped to ease the effects of the depression, helping many Americans. B. He is a role model to me, because he stepped up in a time of need to help his fellow citizens. C. He is remembered as someone who truly loved the American people and wanted to do everything in his power to help the people.
A. Hitler spread terror all the way to the west, causing the United States to rise to action. B. I despise the way he used the Jewish people as a scapegoat for Germany's loss in the war. C. People remember him as a tyrant and one of if not the worst person to ever come into power in any country. Around the world, groups work to unify everybody despite their religion or race to make sure that something as terrible as this will never happen again.
