Produced by Adham Shaikh (Emmy and Juno award-nominated producer), recorded both in Canada and in India, this album is inspired in all those savasana concerts and yin restorative classes I sung at. Available worldwide (Itunes, Amazon, Bandcamp) here: www.inafilip.ca/pagexx
Check it out here. And for all of you who signed up to this newsletter, I am sending a link where you can download the preview audio file for free here https://soundcloud.com/inafilip/preview-cantos-de-ma-1
We also made a video explaining the "Yoga of Sound" aspects in this album. For those who might be curious, it was recorded somewhere in the wild, close to Tadoussac, on the Northern Shore of St Laurent River. Magical powerful place. You can check it out by clicking on the video.
For those of you who like electronic music, I am also sending you as a gift an excerpt of this piece we are finalizing this summer "Minuit en Fleur". You might have heard part of this work on my website. This new excerpt is a different section (the complete piece is 15m long). We had some creative freedom in the making of this track - we started with Classical Indian vocals, and as you will hear, we ended up somewhere in West Africa! Hope you enjoy :) We had fun making it! You can download it directly from my sound cloud page - just click on the link. Download will be available for a few days only (note that this is a pre-mix version, the final mix is in the making!).
For all of you who are interested in Nada Yoga and Dhrupad, I have been teaching private sessions and some workshops this summer. I am going back to India for another 6 months to continue deepening on this path. If you would like to have a lesson, or attend a workshop, I am happy to share this passion with you all. I will be teaching a couple of workshops in September - Mexico, Montreal and Tadoussac - more info to come soon. Private sessions are happening on an ongoing basis (in Montreal or via Skype). Feel free to contact me if you would like to join.
This summer, I will be singing at the big Lolë event on Aug 12th at the Old Port in Montreal, in collaboration with DJ Neerav and Annie Langlois. Last year the event gathered 7 thousand yogis! There will be different sections, and we will be making the music for the VIP section. For Montréalers, come check us out! Check the website for other events. Some dates will be confirmed in the weeks to come. Happy summer everyone!
