Song about the layers of the atmosphere for my sixth graders, sung to the tune of "Put On" by Young Jeezy (featuring Kanye West) This song is a great tune and very catchy that explains what the Layers of the Atmosphere are. It explains that the Troposphere is where all the weather is. It also explains that the Stratosphere is where the ozone layer is. Overall, I wish I had found this song a long time ago, because it has helped me remember the layers better.
This website helped me understand that a Watershed is a land area that channels rainfall and snow melt to creeks, streams, and rivers, and eventually to outflow points such as reservoirs, bays, and the ocean.
This web page is about the Flint Water Crisis. It explains how a lot of lead came into the local people's water. Those people were unaware of the lead in their water and ingested it causing them to become sick. Lead can be extremely damaging to children and can cause damage to their brain. All of this was caused in 2014 when the local water department switched water sheds. This cause all the water to turn brown and poisoned.
This web page is very helpful. It gives a summary of the Hydrology cycle and explains how the cycle starts with evaperation from water sources and later precipitates into different water sheds.
