Claim: I chose my dance teacher/choreographer as my hero because she helps everyone who dances at my studio, and shows altruism and she is an icon. Evidence: She makes sure to praise everyone who is working harder. She shows that she is caring by putting her effort into her studio instead of staying at home with her two young children. This means she puts others before herself and her own personal needs. Analysis: She is altruistic because I remember her kids were sick one time and she still came to the studio for 6 hours. She is an icon to all of the dancers at my studio and many other people because she puts hard work and effort into her cutting music, making choreography, teaching choreography, just being a good friend, and many other qualities.
Ms. Karly's greatest heroic quality is how she gives up many things to be at the studio. She would let us take breaks when we needed it, but at the same time she pushed uto, get better. She would come into the studio on her dancer's schedules and she would only miss rehearsal and classes if she had a family emergency. She was constantly giving up activities with her kids and family to come to the studio. She missed a wedding to rehearse our production number.
Karly is also incredibly kind. She makes sure we are also having fun while stretching and running dances etc. She talks with us about things we would be interested, and we have conversations with her like she's our friend. I feel comfortable talking to her about many things and I always enjoy my time with her.
My dance teacher is always enthusiastic. She comes to the studio with a smile on her face and greets all of us. Even on her worst day she would make sure it was a successful day of dancing for all of us. She is always up out of her seat and dancing with all of us and physically making the corrections so we can really take and understand them.
Ms. Karly is a good sport. At dance competitions, she always makes sure to compliment other teams and their dances, costumes, etc. and makes sure we follow what she does as well. When someone on my team places or wins a competition, she makes sure to congratulate them but also be humble about it.
Finally, Karly awards people who work hard. There was one girl in my studio who had only been dancing for a short time, but she took a lot of extra classes to improve and she got a lot better. Karly awarded her with a solo this year so she can show off her improvement. She makes sure she acknowledges people who are working hard.
