I chose this article because I was looking for information about the habitat of snakes. I learned that snakes can be found on every continent except Antarctica because it is too cold. There are no native snakes in the following countries: Hawaii, Iceland, Ireland, or New Zealand. Snakes can be found in many habitats including the water, forests, deserts, rainforests, and prairies. One of my sections in my All-About book is titled "Habitat."
I chose this article because I was looking for information about common features of snakes. One of my sections in my All-About book is titled "All Things in Common." I learned that all snakes are carnivores, have long thin bodies, no limbs, eyes that don't blink, are cold blooded, scales cover their bodies, and lay eggs --but some incubate their eggs in their bodies and give birth to live baby. Incubate means they keep their eggs warm in their bodies until they hatch.
