A Must-Read for All Those Planning to Use Digital Resources If you are planning to use a digital resource for instruction, assessment, or another purpose, then you must seek prior approval. A digital resource may be a website, an application, or a piece of equipment. It may be free or it may be for purchase. The digital resource may have been approved for use or purchase last year. In all these cases, you are asked to submit a proposal to the Teaching and Learning Division for review of educational merit (if applicable), accordance with student data privacy laws and policies, and compatibility with the district’s network and computer systems. The latter two types of reviews are done annually by the Information & Accountability Department, due to the changing nature of technology. Click here to access the proposal.
