Life rolls on has always something that I have lived by, if you don't believe that things can ever get better in your life than they never will. I learned this from one of my favorite songs by Slightly Stoopid called Life rolls on. No matter how bad a situation is you can always rely on yourself to make you happy, you cant care so much about what people think about you because if you do then you would be living your life to the standards of others rather than doing what truthfully makes you happy in life.
One of the most important themes of A Separate Peace was the acceptance of growing up. Finny had a hard time accepting growing up but he always kinda went by Life rolls on. Reason I believe this is because he does whatever he wants and doesn't really care what others think of him, if he wants to do it then he will, not to entertain others but because he knows its the best for him and will make him happy.
We can connect this with our everyday lives. Something that brings you down happens everyday it can be something little or even something big, everyday cant be perfect. Whenever something brings you down just keep you head up and look at the positive things in life and and do what makes you happy. When I got my tattoo it was my decision, but I was afraid of what my family would think, once I realized that it will be on my body and makes me happy I didn't care what they think about me because in the end its my body and my life and im not going to live my entire life following the rules someone else has set out for me if you do that then your living your life to make others happy and not yourself.
In this movie Ferris acted like he was sick so he could do what he actually wanted which was spend the day outside cause who can ever stay in school when its beautiful outside. I love this movie because he does what makes him happy in life even though they're were consequences for skipping they didn't care because they wanted to live their life and do what makes them happy they didn't care about the principle trying to find them because in the end life rolls on.
In this book they proved that no matter what life will always move on. During this time lots of people experimented with LSD and it eventually become a movement where tons of people would get together to do LSD and all they experienced was love and peace they didn't care about the hate that was going on at the time they just cared about what they were going to do next in life.
My mom was the one who taught me to always look at the positive things in life rather than looking at the negatives. No matter whats going on you can make it better you just have to make the effort to make things better. My mom has always been a positive person and I look up to her for that, no matter how bad or insane im being shes still there for me and that's who taught me to always move on in life.
This painting describes Life rolls on to me because it looks kinda sad and dark behind her if you look closely, but in front of her is colorful blue mountains. This is describing moving on and to never look back at the past because in the end it doesn't matter what happened before you should always move on and try to make things better in your life.
This letter was Martin Luther King Jr. describing his dream of ending racism. I respect Martin Luther King Jr because he never gave up no matter how much trouble he is in. He does this because its what he believes in and if he cant fix the problem then he will die trying. This is life rolling on because he is in jail but still never gives up on his dreams.
In this book the conflict was that they were afraid that Julius Caesar would have too much power and use it for the worst reasons. So the Roman senators all plotted a plan to kill him so he so he doesn't destroy Rome for good. Im not saying this is good but the senators did what the believed was best for the country they wanted life to keep on going so they had to make a plan before it stopped for all of Rome.
In the book when Finny broke his leg he didn't let that stop him from being around sports, he helped Gene train and he wanted Gene to play sports so he could watch and it wouldn't be as bad as just being taken away from sports for his entire life. We can apply that to our lives by never letting something take you away from something you love no matter how bad a situation is you can always find a compromise.
