Students were not only eager to watch the videos but were also seen enthusiastically creating artifacts as showcase projects.
At the University of Pennsylvania, Angela Lee Duckworth studies intangible concepts such as self-control and grit to determine how they might predict both academic and professional success. Grit is said to comprise of a suite of traits and behaviors, including: Goal-directedness (knowing where to go and how to get there); Motivation (having a strong will to achieve identified goals); Self-control (avoiding distractions and focusing on the task at hand); Positive mindset (embracing challenge and viewing failure as a learning opportunity).
As Amandeep puts it - "At the end of grit module, we did an activity where kids could draw/write to express how they are planning to show grit in the long term. After they shared their stories, one after another, I was glad to see how well they have started understanding the essence of Grit value."
