I tend to surround myself with music. Constantly. If I go a solid hour without humming or hearing some kind of musical noise I think I'll go insane. I recently started a rock band we call The Experiment. I write the songs as well as provide lead vocals with some extremely talented people that I'm so grateful to know and be around. My team is full of kind and wonderful people that I love having around. We plan to start recording our debut album in February of 2018.
Ryan McGinley is one of my main photography inspirations. Photography is one of my passions that, much like music, I can't get enough of. McGinley is so inspirational to me because his photographs are so centered on the idea of striving to capture everyday life. His passion to capture the life of the teenagers and people around him really inspired me to be the photographer I am today.
I love Broadway musicals to an almost criminal degree. I used to dream about being on stage as a performer, but I think I've come to value the technical side so much that I can't help but stare at sets and costumes. I'm even judging actors based on how they use props instead of their performance overall.
This is the school I want to go to. It's unique style of teaching and its closeness to Olympia are really amazing to see! I went to visit the Evergreen campus and I was so blown away by its beauty and respect for nature and its students. I want to get a Master's degree in educations and a Bachelor's degree in photography and I can't think of a better place to do it.
I'm not good at cooking. At all. But I can, for some unknown reason, make French food. No Mexican or Asian style dishes, but French. The only times I have made a tasty meal without lighting a kitchen something or other on fire, have been the times where I've made something French. It's now regarded as a mystery of life in my mind.
Cosplay is the usual term for when someone dresses as a character from a book, TV show, anime, or movie and portrays that character to the best of their extent. I've been cosplaying for about four years now and I've felt most of the pain. From putting on last minute body paint to making a costume hours before a convention starts, I've done a lot of weird things in the name of cosplay accuracy. It is a lot of fun and makes me feel like I belong to a community of people who accept me for who I am and encourage my passions. It really is one of the most loving and kind communities I've encountered.
My family owns three dogs in total. A lab-dane mix that we've named Bronx, an Alaskan Malamute named Sahara, and a small shi-tzu mix called Nushi. As odd as the names are, these pups are my favorite in the world and I'm already upset about leaving them to go to college. They mean so much to me and know more of my secrets than anyone else in the world. There was actually a time I walked home from a sleep over just to pet my dogs. They all mean so much to me.
Cat's are one of my favorite animals. My friends like to compare my mannerisms to that of a cat due to my usually sarcastic and "free" nature. I have been known to knock plates off of tables and various other flat surfaces if I don't like the placement, so I suppose that works.
Anne Rice is one of my all time favorite modern writers. She was the first author to get me interested in occult ideas in literature in a more positive way. After the twilight series, my opinion of occult romance novels was at an all time low, but Anne Rice was one of the authors that helped me understand that one bad series does not define a genre.
I try to be someone that is a good student. I usually think of myself as someone who enjoys a nice organized notebook. I might as well joke about my pain as I slowly feel myself wasting away, right? If you can't tell, I'm a bit on the sarcastic side, I'll apologize in advance for that sort of thing. It's usually how I work out my own ideas and my opinions without being too rude.
