Love Kingston is an exciting campaign to raise funds for the changing needs of communities in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. It is the only borough-wide local giving platform where all money raised stays local for the benefit of generations to come.
We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
Hestia is the largest provider of domestic abuse refuges in London - 39 refuges offering a place of safety for women and over 500 children, including Kingston. Love Kingston has supported women at our local refuge to set up a peer-to-peer support group, the Butterfly Project. The Butterfly project is a safe space in which families can begin a process of healing
Many young people struggle to discover their identity, skills and attributes. They need someone who can encourage, help and support them in responding to the challenges they face. We focus our efforts upon providing youth work in and around the Kingston area to those who are most in need and try to find creative ways to show them they are valued, loved and that we believe in them.
KCAH aims to improve the quality of life of both homeless people and people in housing risk in the borough of Kingston and surrounding areas and is working towards achieving the eradication of the problem of homelessness both locally and nationally.
BOOM! is a credit union for people who live or work in Kingston, Surrey, and West Sussex. We give local people access to fair and affordable loans, savings accounts and prepaid debit cards.
