In Fahrenheit 451, Guy Montag lives in a dystopian society and wants to change everything about his society. He hates how everyone is selected for their jobs, never given the option to chose a job. He hates how everyone worships technology and depicts books as evil. Within Montag’s dystopian world, he finally chooses to leave and what he finds is truly amazing.
Logic (Bobby Tarantino) expresses his hardships in his song “Under Pressure” through rapping. In his dystopian world he experiances loss of family and friends to drugs. Logic also complains that he has always been told to be anything besides a rapper. His middle school teacher, his Mom, his friends even told him that he could never do it but when he went viral everything changed.
Logic was told to be a teacher by his family and teachers due to his high intellect within English and his ability to fluently speak words. He tried complying with what people wanted from him but in his sophomore year of college he started producing albums and realized that people likes what he spoke and rapped about and he found his passion. Guy Montag is put into the job title of a fireman but he slowly loses interest in this job when he realized that he was making innocent people sad and sometimes even killed them. Logic, Montag, and everyone in our society are pressured into believing in a common concept. Logic’s concept that was forced on him was being a teacher. Montag’s concept that was forced upon him was being a fireman. In most of our society, we are told to be in jobs that make the most money so that we can provide for our families and retire at a decent age. In the end, logic, Montag, and our society are all dystopian and we are all fighting to make the best life possible with it.
