Nick and Gatsby had a lot of parts together in the novel. Gatsby and Nick were good friends and Nick became closer than ever to Gatsby towards the end of the book. Gatsby would always compliment Nick throughout the book but Nick never really said much except helping Gatsby out with Daisy. Nick and Gatsby loved each other as good friends but when a lady stepped into Gatsby's life she caused a lot of drama. Gatsby tracked her down for the 5 years he was away from her. Nick at the end of the book before Gatsby got shot and killed said a compliment to him and he defended his casket when people were in his house taking pictures of Gatsby in his casket.

The song is about young and beautiful girls and a man that would still love them forever. Daisy and Gatsby could even though she went off to go and marry Tom. Daisy is causing the drama by telling Jay Gatsby how much she loves him and still wants to be with him but she is scared to break up with Tom and she already said okay to getting married.

When Jay Gatsby met Daisy back the first time when they were at the golf course he instantly fell in love with her. They loved each other too but she got with Tom later on and he proposed to Daisy. Gatsby reunited with Daisy after 5 years of not seeing each other. Gatsby was continuing for the 5 years he wasn't seeing her he was getting money and wealth to meet her standards. He moved into a big house across the lake from her house so he could be near her and show her that he has wealth. "This Mr. Gatsby you spoke of is my neighbor" (14). Gatsby was being talked about to Daisy and Tom when Tom was wondering who Gatsby was. Daisy created drama by playing with Gatsby's heart and feelings when they first met, Daisy liked Gatsby but he wasn't rich so she couldn't be with him. Gatsby's feelings and love for Daisy took over so he became rich and moved into a huge house across the lake from Daisy's house just so he could show that he has money now. Daisy went on to be with Tom even while she was still telling Gatsby that she loved him and didn't want to be with Tom
Gatsby has a very unstable relationship with Daisy because of people getting in the way of him and Daisy. Nick is an example of a person interfering with there relationship. He tells Gatsby that Daisy is not the right person for him. Tom is interfering too because he is engaged with Daisy and Gatsby is still trying to be with her. Daisy is too scared to tell Tom that she doesn't love him and that she wants to be with Gatsby. "Listen, To. If you're such a snob, why did you invite him to lunch?" demanded Jordan crossly. "Daisy invited him; she knew him before we were married God knows where!"(122). Daisy is making it hard for Gatsby to be with her because she is too afraid to tell Tom her real feelings. These examples are stating how Daisy isn't a true person when it comes to who she actually loves she's just a gold digger and wants them for there money. Daisy is also playing with Tom's heart just as much as Gatsby's because Tom doesn't know if she actually loves him or if she just loves his or Gatsby's money.

This isn't good for Gatsby because he is hooked on her and Daisy has taken over the whole way that Gatsby lives his life all because he wants everything to be perfect for Daisy so she will love him. Gatsby is also convincing Daisy to tell Tom that she didn't want to be with her. Daisy has caused so much drama and depression out of both Gatsby and Tom that people got stories mixed up and one man killed Jay Gatsby, he also killed himself and the last words out of Gatsby's mouth was "Daisy".
