Martial Arts movies have a special place in my heart. I have always been fascinated at how masterful some people can be when choreographing their movies. The Raid 2 is a incredible movie from Indonesia that has some pretty brutal and bloody scenes, but this is the most clean one. This film series is unbelievably skillful in choreography and authoritative in its delivery.
I was never a big fan of horror movies as a kid and mainly did the whole cover my eyes trick during every tense scene. But for the past few years, I have fallen in love with them. Even though I haven't seen every movie in this list, it does have some good ones. P.S. Scariest movie I've ever seen is The Witch (2015). Probably shouldn't watch it again but I really want to.
After Hours is a comedy series produced by the entertainment site Cracked where four people talk about movies and tv shows in a different way. They go past normal discussion and delve deep into crazy hypotheticals and fascinating theories about media we all have seen growing up. I relate to and love this show so much mainly because it is what my brother and I have done my whole life so discovering this show was a happy surprise.
One thing most people don't know about me is my love for dance movies. I myself am not much of a dancer, but I have seen more dance movies than the average person. Out of all of the movies I have watched over the years, this scene in the movie Step Up 2 is still ranked as the #1 dance scene for me. The plot of the movie isn't the greatest, but that's not exactly what I came for anyway.
This site is the most complete collection of DMB guitar tablature. I have loved this band for many years and Dave Matthews was the one who made me want to finally pick up and learn the guitar. If you don't know this band very well, Dave Matthews creates some of the strangest and unique guitar chords and riffs that make it very difficult to learn them all. Luckily, I love his music and I have a lot of free time.
Serial is a podcast from the creators of This American Life. One story. Told week by week hosted by Sarah Koenig. The first season, which is the main one I loved, is about a young man charged with murder and whether or not the evidence of the case makes sense. This is one of the most addicting podcasts I have ever listened to because Sarah is an amazing journalist who is uncovering huge mysteries in this small towns horrendous murder. It started arguments within my own family as to what happened which was actually kind of fun.
NeoGAF is a video game forum that is the largest and most infamous gaming community online where you can upload newsworthy topics or discuss certain subjects about your favorite games. It also has an "off-topic" section where you can find message boards for any subject that peaks your interest. I enjoy this platform because it is generally progressive and overall brings healthy and friendly discussion.
True crime has always been an interest of mine which has led to some interest in famous murders throughout history. Normally, this subject matter would come off as morbid or unnerving for some people, but the witty and comedic commentary of these two female hosts, coupled with my love for true crime, makes this one of my favorite podcasts to listen to.
