Lymphatic Filariasis

Filariasis is known to possibly cause enlarged and swollen-like areas to the body when treatment for the parasite is prolonged, typically affecting the lower leg and genitals but can also be found in the arms and breasts as well (although this doesn't occur for most people). It's better to be aware of this particular disease as filariasis is considered to be uncommon which can be unheard of by the majority. Although it's rare, this doesn't rule out that filariasis can still be transmitted by mosquitoes in specific locations and can cause long term mental/physical damages to those who are affected. Especially when filariasis can be prevented through treatment, this is a disease that's still neglected.
