Malala is a hero because of her corougesness. She wasn't afraid to speak out against the Taliban. She accomplished things that others didn't dare to say or speak out about. Malala says that she isn't scared of anything. In 2008 Malala gave a speech called “How dare the Taliban take away my basic right to education?” Malala continued to give speeches about her right and other women's rights to be educated. That is why I think that Malala is courageous a hero. Claim: Malala is a Hero to me because she is intrepid. Evidence: There are many reasons why Malala is intrepid. When Malala gave speeches and became known as an activism the Taliban issued a death threat against her because of what she was doing. Malala was scared for her father's safety. But her family at first believed that they wouldn't hurt a child. In 2012 Malala was shot in the head by a masked gunman. She survived the attack and continued to speak out against the injustices facing her people. In 2014 she received the Nobel peace prize. Analysis: Malala is a hero because of what she has accomplished. Because of her commitment and bravery she was able to accomplish great things.
About nine months after Malala was shot she gave a speech at the UN. During her speech she said "They thought that the bullets would silence us. But they failed,” Malala was saying that she's not going to give up or stop fighting even though they tried to kill her for what she was doing. This shows how determined and intrepid she is. She also said “And then, out of that silence came thousands of voices. … Weakness, fear and hopelessness died. Strength, power and courage was born." What she meant by this was many people who might have felt hopeless or frightened now feel more courageous to speak up and do something about it. Ranking number 3: Although this artifact stated that Malala would keep on fighting and not give up it wasn't the best evidence about why Malala is a hero. It was just showing how determined she is.
In 2009 Malala started blogging with a fake name, Gul Makai, so that she could hide her identity. She blogged about what it was like to live under Taliban rule. But later that year they found out that Gul Makai was actually Malala Yousafzai. I think that that was very risky what Malala had done and she must have known that too but that didn't stop her and that shows how brave she is. Even after she was for revealed to be Malala and not Gul Makai she still continued to fight. Ranking number 5: I ranked this artifact a number five because it's not the most important piece of evidence it was just something that she had done that makes me think of her to be brave.
At age 17 Malala won the Nobel Peace Prize. She was the youngest person to receive this honorable prize. She said "This award is not just for me. It is for those forgotten children who want education. It is for those frightened children who want peace. It is for those voiceless children who want change." This makes me think of how selfless, caring and brave she is. Because she has worked so hard to make a difference and she had such bravery to do what she did and winning the Indian children's rights activist Kailash Satyarthi and the Nobel Peace Prize is an amazing accomplishment. Ranking number 1: I think that this is the most important evidence of why she is a Hero because it shows that Malala will never give up fighting for her and others rights.
Malala was just 15 when she was shot by a member of the Tablin on October 9, 2012. She was transported to the United Kingdom where she had to get many surgeries. After she recovered she continued to give speeches about people's rights and she also went to a school there. But after she was shot and survived many people stated to speak out about their rights along with others. She has inspired many people to help make a difference. Ranking number 2: I gave this artifact a two because after she was shot more people came to know who she was and what her story was and also many were inspired by her.
In 2013 Malala made a found. It is called the Malala fund. She wanted to give the Nobel peace prize money to her fund to help give girls education everywhere in the world. She also wanted to build schools in pakistan especially in where she lived. In her speech she gave for the Nobel peace prize she said that she wants to build a school in her village so that girls could go there and get quality education. Ranking number 3: I gave this artifact a three because I think that it's really amazing that she has made this fund to help give girls quality education.
