Body image is the way we perceive ourselves when we look in the mirror. We imagine ourselves to look and act a certain way, even though we may look and act differently to those around us. Some women want smaller thighs, bigger breasts, or flatter stomachs. Women use celebrities and socialites as their role models.
Moovies, magazines and television damage teens’ body image by enforcing a “thin ideal.” Teens nowadays always try to look like celebrities and have ideal body goals to achieve, our society are telling them how to be ( Boys: have big muscles, abdos, short hair,etc... Girls: be thin, have long legs, long and smooth hair, etc...). Nowadays with the arrival of social medias it's even worse. Tennagers try to get the more likes and comments on their pictures.
