I am in a family of four including a dog. My mother is named Cindy, my father is named Chad, and my brother is named Patrick. I am the oldest being 14, and my brother, Patrick, is the youngest being 11. Our pet is a Black Labrador named Duncan who is 5 years old.
I would consider my fashion sense to be the typical "art loser." ( yes I just made that up ) The colors in my wardrobe consist of pinks, blacks, blues, and whites, and my shoes will probably be a pair of black converse. I usually wear jeans with t-shirts or the occasional band t-shirt tucked in with my gray sweatshirt. Some days I may wear my black skirt or my yellow dress, but it will be most likely be once in a blue moon. I also really love to wear chokers, pins, and baseball caps.
The types of music I listen to really varies from pop to alternative to musicals to 80s music, but mostly all of the songs I like have one thing in common. If I some how resonate or have a deep contention towards the lyrics of a song than I will most likely like it. That being said I just appreciate well written lyrics. Some of my favorites are Conan Gray, Twenty One Pilots, The 1975, Lorde, Catfish and the Bottlemen, David Bowie, Dodie Clark, The Smiths, and The Wallows. The song that linked above is called Space Oddity by ( literally the best person in the world ) David Bowie.
For the past year, I have gotten serious in creating artwork. The picture above is one of the only pieces I have created with paints. It is watercolor, acrylic, and colored pencils on sketch paper. When I do create art, I normally use colored pencils to color in a sketch of usually a person. Typically I like to recreate characters from some my favorite TV Shows, Movies, Books, and Musicals. My favorite person to draw is Connor Murphy from Dear Evan Hansen.
One of my favorite hobbies is to watch movies and films. I find them very fascinating and interesting the way an entire scene can have so much significance towards a film with just the cinematography, score/soundtrack, acting, and direction. So much details are put into a film, and I defiantly appreciate the commitment that are put into well made films. The types of movies I like varies from indie movies, dramas, thrillers ( not horror movies ), and even romantic comedies, but I pretty much like most genres ( I like I said not horror movies ). Some of my favorites are La La Land ( image above ), Inception, Amelie, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, and The Imitation Game.
Just like I said earlier, one of my favorite hobbies is to watch movies and films! Recently, my family and I went to the movie theater to see Dunkirk. It was probably our most anticipated movie of the year because of its plot line and being created by my favorite film maker: Christopher Nolan. It was very enjoyable and so immersive! I do not think I have ever felt so engrossed within a movie, especially a war movie, than this one which the result of incredible music by Hans Zimmer, the writing and direction of Christopher Nolan, and gorgeous cinematography. I really hope that this movie gets nominated and wins an Oscar! I really recommend watching it. And yes, Harry Styles was really good in the film.
Another one of my favorite hobbies to read books. Some of may favorites are The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Alchemist, Paper Towns, Looking for Alaska, and Milk and Honey. One of the most thrilling experiences is to get lost and engrossed within an amazing book and story. You become totally invested within the story and you are able to forget the rest of your hardships and the world in general. The quote above is from my absolute favorite book ( along with The Alchemist ), The Perks of Being a Wallflower, which I am totally grateful that I read before starting high school as it is a coming of age story.
Over the summer this year, my family and I had our vacation in California. We went to San Fransico, Disneyland ( Anaheim ), and L.A. It was lots of fun and very enjoyable! We saw the Golden Gate Bridge, the Hollywood sign, Griffiths Observatory, Alcatraz, and ate at In N Out Burger. I made so many memories on this trip including riding down to Southern California with my Godfather, Sly, and celebrating my brother's 11th birthday at Disneyland. Be warned though if you ever visit, you will probably be highly jet lagged.
I have a huge love for Broadway and Musicals! Some of my favorites are Dear Evan Hansen ( image above ), Hamilton, Spring Awakening, Les Miserables, and Phantom of the Opera. Most of them tell very important and relevant stories that even Hollywood could not achieve, and the songs within them gives more of an insight within people's thoughts and deep emotions. One my guilty pleasures is just to listen to Broadway tunes so I would consider them as apart of my music taste.
As you can tell I have a passion towards the Performing Arts as I love Broadway, but I also participate in Theatre and Chorus. I have participate in the Thomaston Upson Arts Council's ( TUAC ) productions for about three years, Middle School Chorus for three ( first year of High School Chorus ), and danced for seven years at the Griffin Ballet Theater ( I quit two years ago ). Performing in any type of art form is very inspiring, enjoyable, and fun, and contribute within gaining more confidence on the stage and within my inner self. I hope to one day pursue a career within the Performing Arts.
