I love history. When I was nine I went to see the wagon train that began in Blaine, Washington on June 8th, 1975, and ended at Valley Forge July 4th, 1976 to celebrate our nation's 200th anniversary.
My favorite tv-show is Doctor Who. Doctor Who is a British TV series and has been on for many years. The Doctor can fly through time and space and has many adventures. Several actors have played "The Doctor", and my favorite one is David Tennant, who also played Barty Crouch in the Harry Potter movie.
I'm a big fan of science-fiction and fantasy books. I actually read this book for the first time in college. I soon became a big fan of Harry Potter after my first teaching job at Benchmark School, where the kids got me into it!
Jamie, my younger daughter, plays violin with the PYAO. The Moldau is a "symphonic poem" that tells the story of a journey down the river which runs from the Bohemian Mountains down through the countryside, and into Prague.
This is what my dog Gidget looked like as a puppy. She didn't stay little for long! She loves to eat off the floor and beg to get her back scratched. Gidget loves attention and is always available for hugs. Gidget is named after Sandra Dee's character in the 1959 movie of the same name.
I was fortunate to get two weeks in Barnegat Light with my family this summer. Barnegat Light is on Long Beach Island in New Jersey, and is a quiet and peaceful place to unwind. My favorite thing to do is read on the beach. Our dog, Gidget, also loves the beach and gets lots of attention on our walks around the lighthouse.
