A- During the 1900's Mark Twain was an American author with many great books. Such as, huckleberry fin which was his most famous book. People read Mark's books all over the nation and he had a big impact on our nation. His books made many people all around the nation very happy. So, he for sure had a positive impact on our country as a whole. B- I was not alive when MARK Twain was writing his great books. However, he's still had a positive impact on my life. I've read his huckleberry gin book and it was pretty good. I don't like reading but I have surprisingly enjoyed some of his books. That shows he's had a good impact on my life. C- Mark Twain has a big impact on present day. Everyday people still enjoy reading all of his great books. In classes and just all over the nation people read his great books. His books make people happy, and have had a positive impact on present day.
A- For many years in the early 1900's Babe Ruth was the best baseball player ever to play the game. He was killing the competition and no one was even close to as good as him. In our nation during the 1900's baseball was a huge part of our country. And if your gonna be the best baseball player in the world it's gonna shave an impact on our nation as a whole . Babe Ruth had so many fans and made more and more people want to come to baseball games. He really changed baseball in our nation and had a huge impact on our country. B- I used to play baseball, and Babe Ruth is one of my favorite players of all time so he's had n impact on my life. When I played I looked up to him and wanted to play like he did back in the day. Babe Ruth was a unique talent with so much special skill. That shows that Babe Ruth has had an impact on my life. C- Baseball is still a very popular sport in our nation today. And Babe Ruth changed the game as a whole for everyone. He had new skills that made everyone learn new skills to play even better. Without Babe Ruth baseball would be very different than how it is today.
A- Woodrow Wilson was the 28th president of the United States. He was a democrat who was very into world peace for all. Mr. Wilson was president for four years. (1914-1918) President Wilson did a lot for the conflict in our nation. He came up with a plan that brought world peace to America. When Wilson was president he pushed for a progressive reform. Even though he only served one term Woodrow Wilson will go down as one of the best president in U.S. history. He did so much for our nation and brought lots of peace to our country. B- I of course was not alive when Wilson was president. However, he still did have an impact on my life. I am a big believer in world peace and that everyone should get along. And that is what President Wilson also believed in, That's how he's had an impact on my life. C- Woodrow Wilson also connects to present day. There is still lots of conflict going on in our nation during present day, but with ought wilson we may have never been as peaceful. That's how he connects to our nation and all of the world in present day.
A- Mr. Roosevelt was the president of the United States for 12 years. This is the longest time we've had the same president in history. He's also one of the best and most famous presidents ever. During the 1930's was the great depression in the U.S. It was a very hard time that caused many people to go homeless and loose all of there money. President Roosevelt handeled the situation very well and saved our country. Without him we may have not made it out of the great depression. He did so much for our nation while he was our president. B- I wasn't alive when FDR was president, but from what I've read he seems like he was a great man and president. He saved and helped our country during very rough times. So overall he's had a good impact on my life and he seemed like a great president. C- FDR was our president many years ago, but that doesen't mean he hasn't had n impact on present day. Without him the economy and all of our country wouldn't be the same. That shows that he's had a great impact even on present day.
A- Ida Tarbell had a big impact on our nation. She was into stopping monopolies and the Rockefeller oil company. His company was the biggest and owned all the other major oil companies. So she decided to stop this. She got everyones attention and then got to her goal of stopping Rockefeller from running a monopoly. In her time she stopped many different monopolies and was also a great Journalist. B- Well I of course wasn't alive when Ida Tarbell was, but that doesn't mean she didn't have an impact on my life. Just like Ida, I also don't agree with there being these monopolies. I think its good what she did and it has an impact on my life. C- In our nation there are no longer monopolies because I think now they are illegal. Without Ida Tarbell people may have never done anything about these bad monopolies in our nation. That's how she's connected to our present day.
A- The Wright brothers are two very smart brothers who wanted to be the first people to ever create a plane that actually flies and works well. Well on December 7, 1903 they finally achieved their goal and flew for a total of 59 seconds. They were the first ever to do this and this really changed the thoughts for everyone in our nation. It also changed the way of transportation for our nation forever. Now everyone in our nation can go in planes like it's nothing. Without these great men flying in planes might never of ever happened. B- Before I researched these two great men I never realized what a big effect they've had on me. I'm interested in planes and I really enjoy flying in them. I realized with no Wright brothers I would never be flying in planes all the time, and that really effected me. C- This isn't even a question that the Wright brothers have had a huge effect on present day even though they are no longer alive today. In today's time everyday tons of people use planes as transportation. Nothing would be the same present day without these men. I really don't know how people would get around the world without planes, that's why the Wright brothers are just so important to our nation and all of the world.
A- Henry Ford was one of the most famous industrialists in America for many years. He of course started Ford Motor Company in 1903. He really started the auto industry by creating the Model T. This changed how everyone got around in our nation and created many jobs for people in the car companies. With this creation America was changed forever. B- In my opinion Henry Ford is one of the most important people to ever live in America. One of my main interests is cars so that's why he really impacted me. Without him their may not be cars driving around everywhere in the world. That's why Ford really connected and impacted my life. C- When Henry Ford was alive he highly effected what happened in the auto industry. Not only did he change it back then but, even made it possible in today's present day. With out him their may be no cars today. He changed this and made cars the main form of transportation all over the world. I believe he deserves more credit than he's given, because no one would be driving cars if it wasn't for him.
A- Jackie Robinson had a big impact on the U.S and all of the baseball world. He made it possible for players of all races to have a shot in the MLB. Jackie was the first ever african-american professional baseball player. He was very brave and risked his career and life for many others. B- I'm really interested in Jackie Robinson and what he's done for our nation and all of baseball. I play lots of different sports, not including baseball, but I used to play. Not only was Jackie Robinson a great guy, he was also a great professional player. He won a Most valuable player (MVP) and rookie of the year awards in his time playing baseball. Those are both great achievments to get in baseball. When I played I tried to model my game around him. Also as a person I try to be like him, because he was such an amazing person. C- Jackie Robinson really changed the game in the past when he played, but he also changed how and who can play the game in present day. He was brave enough to risk his life so everyone of anyone race could play the game forever. Without Jackie you never know who would and wouldn't be playing baseball in today's game.
