We look back at documents, pictures, and films about it and just can't imagine that something so horrible had happened.

Without him a lot of land would not be protected and I would not be able to visit as many national forests. C. Theodore Roosevelt connects to present day because of his key accomplishments as a conservationist. He protected 230 million acres of land and about 150 national forests.
