When I think of my early years science, Bill Nye comes to mind right away. I always loved watching his videos in class and found that I understood the matter better after watching his videos. I like how the videos create a fun and exciting environment and I plan to use them in my classroom one day as well.
I did my second placement I went to St Claude school. I absolutely LOVED it there. The class was very very busy and challenged me daily. At the end of each I was often exhausted but extremely happy with all that I learnt. I strongly believe that this group of students taught me just as much as I taught them. One of the most important things that I learnt is that no matter how busy the class is I really do have a passion for teaching.
Most will call me crazy when I say I run for fun and have paid money to run 13 miles at 7am on a Sunday morning. I definitely have the runner high. I use running as my stress outlet. Often I just need to go for a run to clear my head and get focused aGain. I want to model for my students that not only is physical activity good for you but to find something that you can do to enjoy sometime time to yourself. The town that I grew in and will always call home. Right from the beginning of Kindergarddn I always wanted to be a teacher. My reasoning was because I wanted to follow in my moms foot steps. Now it is much more than that but because of being able to see how rewarding my moms career is, it's made me want that too. My mom works at my home town school as well so I've spent many hours in her classroom It's a great little school that has helped me become the person I am today.
This is one of the many Teachers that I follow on Instagram. I love scrolling through my feed and finding new ideas! This particular teacher has given me so many neat ideas that I hope to one day use in my classroom. She always gives great ideas for ways to set up your classroom. Her pictures and videos with explanations are always super helpful. Seeing other teachers classrooms makes me super excited for my own!
Brandon University is where I completed my 3 year Arts Degree. This place has helped create me into the teaching I am becoming. Here I have learnt how to deal with stress, be organized and work with others. Often I felt like my first degree did very little to help me as a teacher, however while creating this project it made me realize that my first degree allowed me to create many important characteristics that will help me in my future classroom and for that I am thankful. The fall line-up of BU Rec programming has something for everyone. I was introduced to Teachers Pay Teachers during my first placement and fell in love with this website. I love seeing other teacher ideas! I have always agreed with the saying work smarter, not harder in the sense that we don't need to reinvent the wheel but rather work together as Teachers to to create great lessons! I would love one day to put some of my own ideas and creations on this website to share with other teachers! A community of millions of educators who come together to share their work, their insights, and their inspiration with one another.
I absolutely love Pinterest! It is probably my favourite site. I use it for school ideas, house decor, recipes, wedding planning and the list goes on and on! I try to be a very organized person so I love how Pinterest allows me to organize my boards so I can easily find the pins later on!
