Fashion Furward, not forward, is my jewelry business. I run it out of my guest bedroom in the basement. I sell mostly on Facebook, but I have a link here too. I work with the Edward's Foundation, which is why I started it. 100% of donations go to the love and care of their animals. I have not gotten around to men's stuff yet, but I'm getting there. Also, all my stuff is sized for adults. But I do take special requests, including lanyards for adults and staff. I even have my own business cards!Hope you check me out on Facebook!
Back in Texas, my dad was a volunteer fire fighter. The Double Oak Volunteer Fire Department, also known as the DOVFD, held many community events. For example, every 4th of July, they have a big parade with horses, marchers, different parade carts, and bands. In 2015, I got to ride horseback in it! It was awesome. Also, every Christmas they drove the firetruck down every one of our streets with someone dressed up as Santa, and have a pancake breakfast and egg hunt every Easter. They were a big part of our life in this tiny town.
We went rafting a couple weeks ago in Kremmling, and it was awesome! We went on the mildest, easiest one. To show you just how mild, I'll tell you this: it said in the description, "Best option for physically limited and elderly and the most relaxing option". Yes, it did say that. The water was freezing and really, really wet. We got a chance to jump off either a big rock or a small rock. The big one was about 25 foot jump till you hit the freezing water and about a 10 foot jump from the small one. Over all, the whole family agrees that we should totally do a level 2 next time.
GALT, also known as Greyhound Adoption League of Texas, was another rescue group we worked with. First, we got our second pair of greyhounds, Zac and Triscut. You can find them under Rainbow Bridge Greyhounds, on their site. Then, we fostered Shady, Pyrite, Beaver, Griffin, and last but not least, Chevy, our current dog. He was a foster fail. You can find sweet Beaver and Pyrite for sure and probably Shady and Griffin on the Adopted Greyhounds tab, but if not on the Available Geryhounds. You will find all of these tabs under Galt Greyhounds, along with Training Camp and Injured Reserve.
I volunteer here about 1 or 2 times a week and I love it! They are the only animal rescue place that will let 10-year-old kids volunteer! I started a jewlery business and donate 100% of sales to them. Last time I went, they had to unbag packaged eggs, and peel tomotios. Lynda and John, the owners, have such a great heart. I love it there.
