I've been honored and blessed to be able earn my spot on the legendary Warren Central Baseball record board. My time here has been highlighted by breaking the records for single season and career Hit-By-Pitches, as well as single season and career Triples. It's always been a dream of mine to see my name on that board among some of the best athletes that have ever put on a Dragon uniform, and it has finally come true. This has truly been an amazing year.
This year, I was given the opportunity to participate in the STEP Program, put on by the Leadership Bowling Green organization. This program taught me the qualities and values of a strong leader, and it helped me to push myself to take on larger roles in life and assisted me in developing a deeper understanding of the relationships between businesses and people in our community.
I never thought that I would ever truly enjoy a book at any point in my life, but that has all changed this year. By taking AP Literature and by listening to all of my online business mentors (I'm weird like that), I've picked up reading as one of my favorite new hobbies. Whether it's a tragic play, a horror story, or Entrepreneur Magazine, I can now say that I truly value the beauty of literature.
I've been blessed with the opportunity to continue my academic and athletic careers at the University of the Cumberlands. I owe a huge thanks to Coach Biller for hooking me up with this fantastic program, and just as huge of a thanks to Head Baseball Coach Brad Shelton for allowing me to be a part of his team!
This year, I finally decided on the career pathway that I want to follow for the next few years. I'm going to major in accounting, and hope to become a CPA following college graduation. Later on in my career, I plan to open up my own CPA firm and live my lifelong dream of working for myself.
