A: The Spanish flu was a pivotal point in history because it killed many Americans and killed 3% of the world. B: This effected me because it showed how deadly something can be if you don't have the resources to treat it. C: This ties into modern day with the Ebola scare. Many people were dying and many more would have if it wasn't controlled as well as it was.
A: George Ruth (Babe Ruth) took peoples minds off of bad things going on in the world and focused on fun light hearted pastimes. B: He effected me by being a role model when I was younger and getting me into playing and watching baseball. C: This ties to today because of different sports events taking peoples minds off of the bad things in the world like the super bowl.
A: The Manhattan Project effected america because we were the first country to drop an atomic bomb in warfare. It killed many Japanese civilians. B: This effected me deeply because it showed me how bad war can be and how deadly a single object can be. C: This ties to today because of all of the new weapons being invented and different atomic bombs being created.
A: This event was a pivotal event for the US because it was the first cold war America had ever been in. B: I found it fascinating that a whole war could've been started by one wrong move. C: This event ties into today because of the US and North Korea tension going on. North Korea is showing the US what it can do.
A: This event was one of the first wars that the US joined after it had started. It was a long and deadly war that America will never forget. B: This effected me because I learned a couple of years ago that one of my relatives fought in the war. C: This event ties to today because of the many wars going on around the world.
A: Henry Ford was pivotal to the US because of his inventions, like the assembly line. He made Detroit the capital of car production in the entire world. B: Henry Ford has effected me as a person because i remember learning about him in elementary schools and him becoming a role model for me. C: Henry Ford relates to today because of many other inventors/entrepreneurs like Elon Musk.
A: This event had a big impact on america because it lead to the creation of Israel which would join the allied forces. B: this event impacted me on a personal level because I've grown up with Jewish people for a long time. The holocaust was about trying to exterminate the Jewish population. C: this relates to current day because of anti-Semitic views from people all around the world.
A: This had one of the biggest impacts on the US because it sent the US into WW2. There was also a huge death toll in pearl harbor and an even bigger death toll in all of WW2. B: This event made me sad, mad, and confused. I was sad for the deaths of many soldiers and innocent bystanders. I was mad because Japan killed many soldiers in this attack. I was confused because i was wondering why the Japanese would do this. C: This is almost like 9/11 because it was an attack on the US lead on by another country.
A: the impact the stock market had on America in 1929 was massive. It lead to the great depression and caused massive amounts of poverty. B: This event didn't have a huge impact on me . I was more fascinated with the fact that something so significant happened so fast. C: In 2008 there was another stock market crash that sent people into poverty and almost lead to another depression.
A: The impact that Adolf Hitler had on the US was huge because he was a big factor in WW2 which we ended up joining. Due to this, we lost many lives. B: I personally live in a mostly Jewish community so when i found out that he hated Jews i was impacted deeply. C: This connects to present day because of many leaders who are corrupted by their own power and are lead to hating a certain country or a specific ethnicity. Just like one may believe that North Korea hates America.
