In the NFL there has been players kneeling down and protesting the national anthem. Donal Trump saw this and didn't like it too much so he decided to speak his opinions on twitter telling his followers to boycott the NFL. The NFL did respond but the NFL players response is strong by showing almost whole teams and even coaches kneeling and locking arms while the national anthem is playing.
Lead of the protesting of the national anthem is Colin Kaepernick, not even getting might attention to it until the U.S. President Donald Trump had a problem with it tweeting out his problems with it telling his followers to boycott the NFL bringing more and a lot attention to the protest. Jerry Jones has a different opinion on the problem then others. He thinks that the NFL should just stay apolitical and keep football out of the countries problems. How he is doing that is requiring his players to stand during the national anthem is played.
The owner of the Houston Texans surprised the other nfl owners when saying that we need to make a rule were it goes against the players effort to kneel and protest during the national anthem. He says "we can't have inmates running the prison"
NFL owners will not force the players to stand for the national anthem even though they agree with Trumps thoughts and complaints. The rules say that they should stand up for the star spangled banner but is not required.
Donald Trumps complaints and accusation have pulled more americans to Colin kaepernicks side more then his own side with more players kneeling and linking arms and fans supporting them.
The majority of U.S. citizens believe that sports organization such as NFL shouldn't make there players stand for the national anthem. While President Trump was complaining 68 percent of americans thought trump was wrong only leaving 28n percent agreeing with trump thinking that they should require the NFL players to stand for the national anthem and if they rebel fire them.
