We as the United states take a lot of things for granted, one being our resources that nature is so kind to provided to us. "All the things we need to survive, such as food, water, air, and shelter, come from natural resources. Some of these resources, like small plants, can be replaced quickly after they are used. Others, like large trees, take a long time to replace. These are renewable resources. Other resources, such as fossil fuels, cannot be replaced at all. Once they are used up, they are gone forever. These are nonrenewable resources." This all means that there truly is a limit that no one knows about and these fossil fuels and nonrenewable resources we rely on and at any moment could run out. For renewable resources they take time and in our speedy economy its just not going to work. We take its kind gesture and use it for ourselves, Only to throw it back and harm nature that much more. The basic necessities we need in order to survive all revolves around the natural resources found all over the world and we as a country need to work harder to treat our earth better than this.
Animals habitats all over the world are being destroyed to build roads and to make a new strip mall, when each habitat is so critical to our world to stop disturbing the animals that live within them. "Habitat destruction is a huge problem in the marine environment. Habitats are destroyed by, Pollution: development near coastal waters contaminates the Ocean with toxic substances, such as industrial chemicals, pesticides, and motor oil." Some Solutions like "Monitoring and reporting: some conservation efforts are empowering the citizens with the responsibility for monitoring water quality in their coastal communities through sampling and testing, photographing fouled areas, and providing information to local policy makers for action." Every ecosystem whether on land or in the sea deserves stable heathly environments and that is not at all what humans are doing to this earth. This means that we need to make more of an individual change like within our selves and our habits, or with family to as a unit come together to help everything and everyone.
Water has so much value to everything living on this planet. Without water we wouldn't have plants that produce oxygen for us to breathe and we wouldn't have a lot of things we do today that we honestly take for granted. "These freshwater habitats are less than 1% of the world’s total surface area yet house 10% of all known animals and up to 40% of all known fish species. Despite their importance to life as a drinking water source, sustaining crops through irrigation, providing food in the form of fish, powering homes through dams and moving goods by barges –freshwater habitats are disappearing at an alarming rate." This means that all the positive things that are coming out of this mere 1% is all at risk of disappearing. This matters because every fish species feeds someone, provides jobs, its directly helps the economy because people have to eat right? And someone has to catch the food right? Yet once one oil spill happens and one species of fish become extent because of the environment everything is in danger and that directly effects you.
So many forms of life live and prosper on this earth. We consume one another, we helped each other, everything is intertwined within one another. We are all like one big balancing act pivoting off each other fighting to survive. "The world's oceans support countless forms of life. Unfortunately, oceans and the tens of millions of people who live near them are under threat from oil spills, air pollution, sewage releases, aquaculture and unnatural ocean noise, and around the world, resource extraction and deforestation are destroying forests and displacing the people who live in them." This continues to prove just how vital everything is on this earth. One small action save life, think of it like that, whether it be an animal who is a specialist or a plant that is exposed to a toxic environment it effects something else led to a whole chain of unfortunate events.
To every issue there is a solution, simple ways that you can save the earth one step at a time. "Turn off lights and unplug chargers. Water is used in all forms of energy generation. It can take over 4 gallons of water to keep a 60-watt light bulb lit for 12 hours." Electricity is energy and energy makes up pollution unless you are more efficient in using it. "Skip meat for one meal a week. It can take about 600 gallons of water to produce a hamburger. (Think of all the grain that’s grown to feed the cattle.)" This is about the little things that basic people would look over from time to time its all about the process and that process could take ours and use many resources that we can't afford to use. "Water your lawn or garden in the morning or the evening when the water will evaporate less rapidly. Adjust sprinklers to avoid the pointless watering of sidewalks or paved areas." Areas in the united states lone go through intense periods of droughts and every drop counts at all times, work smarter not harder.
