News & Announcements for the Week of December 31, 2017
It's almost here! Starting January 7, we will have one service at 9:00 a.m. followed by Bible Study and Sunday School. Please take note of the new schedule!
Our Thursday morning Women's Bible Study is about to begin a new study on the book, "Sip, Savor, and Drink Deeply: Receive God's Overflowing Gifts" by Deb Burma. It's about taking a break from the daily grind. Even if coffee isn't the beverage of your choice, you look forward to downtime, especially if it is spent with a friend who wants your company. God invites us to meet with Him in His Word. Time spent in Bible Study will fill you to the brim and beyond with God's Good News. Sip, savor, and drink deeply from His Word with us Thursdays at 9:00 a.m.
Ladies: Have you kept up with putting your dimes in your sock each month? If so, it's time to turn them in! Please either drop them off in the box in the narthex by Sunday, January 14, or bring them to the next LWML meeting on Tuesday, January 16.
Our next LLL Men's Bible Breakfast is this Wednesday, January 3, at 7:00 a.m. We'll meet, as usual, at the Lamplighter Restaurant in Sebewaing as one of the pastors in our circuit leads us in a Bible Study from 7:00 - 7:30 then those who wish to do so can stay for breakfast.
We are very grateful that anonymous donors have already stepped up and provided a new freezer for the hot lunch program here at CTK's Unionville campus. Thank You!
The church council has scheduled a special voters' meeting for Sunday, January 7, 2018, immediately following the service (since we will be on our new schedule-- one service at 9:00 a.m.-- it will start at approximately 10:15). The purpose of the meeting is to review our financial standing and to consider a stewardship program and budget measures that might be taken to address the situation. It is important that everyone join us for this meeting. Your input is very important as we set the direction for our congregation.
Summary of our financial standing as of November 30, 2017 (sign in required)
