Already, I was bored out of my mind in the first 30 seconds. He had a very monotone voice while talking. He also didn't seem very interested in his topic making me not interested in the video. I feel like he should work more on his enthusiasm and its effectiveness. If he does that, I believe his speech will become much better.
I could tell that she was very interested in the topic. I was too when I started the video, but everything started to go downhill from there. Her voice started to get very monotone throughout her speech making me very sleepy (yes, I was falling asleep). She also walked around the stage a lot, making me distracted while watching the video.
Throughout his speech, I was starting to get a bit bored because he did not fluctuate his voice at all. I really like the idea of this "final post" thing before you die, but he didn't seem to be very interested at all. He also walked around the stage a bit, making it a bit distracting to watch. I would have continued this video if he had been a bit more enthusiastic about this topic.
Let me start off by saying that his artwork is amazing. Out of the two he talked about in the video, I really loved the statue one. The way he portrayed the message he was trying to say was extremely creative. Now onto the actual speaking part of the video. His voice during the speech was great. He fluctuated it just enough to make it powerful, but not over the top. His gestures were also great while he was speaking. He never seemed to do the same two gestures twice. Overall, I think he did an outstanding job, but there are a few areas he does need to touch up. He did scan the audience throughout the speech, but he also looked at the ground for long periods of time. He also seemed to have been pretty nervous because he had his hands together in front of him for some of the speech. He still did a great job though. ~This is just a theory, but did you see that red carpet on the stage? Maybe they put it there as a guideline for the speakers so that they don't distract the audience by walking around too much.
Right from the start, she pulls you in with her amazing references to pop culture. She mentions Star Trek to make a good understanding with the audience. Her intro stops at around 45 seconds. Once she finally got to her actual speech, everything was amazing about it. Her eye contact was great, she looked at almost every point in the audience. Her poise was also great, she seemed very calm and didn't rock at all. Overall, her speech was amazing.
As the start of Obama's speech, he already has amazing pauses as he talks. His eye contact is also on point because you can tell he looks at what seems to be major points in the audience. He scans up and down from the stage and scans the front row. While talking he also makes references to his personal experiences making it even more entertaining to watch.
