I love this drawing it was first showed to me by a friend who drew her own version. As you can see both hands are very different. One hand vibrant and clean, the other hand dark and twisty. Neither hand better than the other. As they hold hands the fingertips began to change on both hands. And it shows the theme because the two "hands" or people changed each other through love, not hate or pain.
This painting is an ordinary painting but the meaning behind it is much, much more. The tree trunk has split in two and is growing apart from each other. The meaning behind is very sad because in the beginning the tree grew so close together, and as the tree kept growing instead of the tree growing up together, as most relationships do, the tree began to grow further and further apart. Until the tree was so far away they branches had no real connection any more. People can grow apart like the tree and sometimes it is for the best and sometimes it is for the worst.
This is one of my favorite quotes by Andy Warhol. He is this painter that was popular for pop art and he wasn't really known for deep or serious things. When I found this quote he made it has been one of the things I live by. Humans are stubborn and we all change at different rates and this quote beautifully describes how we are all responsible and leaders for our change. He says "When people are ready to they change." People can't fully change until every part of their being believes what they are doing is true, which is why this is one of my favorite quotes. We are all capable of change and do change in some way throughout our lives. But if you wait, or try to pressure someone to change they never will out of spite.
This is a speech that was made in 1992 by a 12-year-old girl. She addresses a room of adults and her point was to try and convince them of changing their ways to make our planet a cleaner and safer place. She asks them, " Did you have to worry about these things at my age? All of this is happening before our eyes and yet we act as if we have all the time and all the solutions." Her whole speech is about how we need to come together to make a change. And we need to change our ways and behaviors before we destroy our planet. It is very inspiring to see such a young child advocate for change. She urges for change from the people who can change and know they are capable of making these decisions.
Jeremy Marsh is a city guy his whole life and he has been tracking paranormal activity. He meets Lexie a country girl who is set on staying where she lives. The book True Believer by Nicholas Sparks illustrates these two characters love story, but it wasn't easy for either of them. They both change their point of view of what really matters to them in the long run. A quote "You find out who you are and what you want, and then you realize that people you've known forever don't see things the way you do. And so you keep the wonderful memories, but find yourself moving on." This quote beautifully illustrates the idea that everyone changes over time and though it might not be what you planned it is not always a bad thing. This book shows an amazing story of two people who changed because of love.
Song "when you love someone" by James TW is a song about two parents getting a divorce. It is written through the dad's point of view telling his son about whats going on between the two. A line from the song is "sometimes moms and dads fall out of love, sometimes two homes are better than one" explaining that people grow apart sometimes and that this isn't just a bad thing. He also tells him everything is going to be okay in the line" It don't make sense, it don't add up but we'll always love you no matter what". And I love the song because despite the parents growing apart their focus is making sure that the kid is okay. And that his son will understand "when you love someone".
