This picture tells a thousand words just by itself. This is picture is a great on to look at because it shows that these younger kids are taking a stand for what they know/ think is right and trying to make it better for a better tomorrow. I know for a fact that these kids are doing this because they feel the need to help out friends and family and to show that these bad people in the world only make them stronger as a community. The kids doing this had a lot of courage to speak out against these higher up people and to let them know who is right and who is wrong. They are just like these grown ups showing how they feel and taking initiative to take control of the situation, this can be connected to the school walkout by the Latinos in the 1940's, these young kids in middle school and in high school fought this battle of racism and they decided to take control and make a better life for their future generation.
News about police brutality, misconduct and shootings. Commentary and archival information about police brutality and misconduct from The New York Times. These people that are affected each and everyday but these so called "police" I really do not feel bad for these people that think that its alright to go through all this training and go through all these hoops to become a police man and they just throw it all away because they thought a colored man or an immigrant was "reaching for a gun." These types of people in the academy need to find a way to break free of this habit of thinking that every person is bad and that its a shoot to kill, but the people they are harming have family and or people they need to support at home so maybe that's why they might or might not have been doing something bad because everyone knows family is number one.
This picture tells the beginning of a new change in the world. This campaign deals with all these different types of ethnicities coming together for one common cause to protect their lives from being endangered. These people come together as whole to help spread the world that these bad things that continue to happen and these type of events need to be stopped for everyone whom is involved in this. This march is a huge event that definitely gets their voices heard even if it was just one or a whole group this group of people get their message a crossed in a peaceful and kindful way.
“This is America” by Childish Gambino shows/ tells a huge story in such a short amount of time. First he started off is with him dancing them proceeds to shoot a man in the head with a gun and sings "This is America Don't catch you slippin' up Don't catch you slippin' up Look what I'm whippin' up" this is basically stating that America wont stop for you and you have to do everything in your power and be the best to be at the top.
A Georgia police officer involved in the arrest of former NFL prospect Desmond Marrow has been placed on administrative duty as investigators look into the use of force, part of which was captured on a friends phone. This NFL player was also convicted by the officer of being disrespectful and the officer felt that he needed to handcuff the man and force him on the ground to where he couldn't breathe, once Desmond was on the ground he kept on repeating he couldn't breathe but the officers did nothing to help him.
