The Native American culture is being affected because globalization is forcing children of the next generation to learn only English when attending school. The reservations provided to them are being damaged by pipelines that pump oil out of indigenous communities There are over 125 languages at risk of extinction. Many families live on reservations together which is overcrowded, the family has low education opportunities, and a lack of cultural connections. The native languages are being neglected and English is becoming the primary language around the world.
November is the Native American Heritage month. Native Americans are celebrated because they were the first people of our land. There are currently tribal communities in Oklahoma being supported by Congress with healthcare, housing, and crime. Native Americans are working to improve the lives of their communities and neighbors.

Many researchers think that the Native American music is some of the most complex and has a great influence in modern folk music. 500 years ago in North America there was a plethora of spoken Native American languages which resulted in an extraordinary amount of human diversity. Globalization has affected these languages due to most tribes since the late 19th century had been restricted to reservation. By the late 20th century the few native american languages still in use were mainly spoken by the elders and were passed down which resulted in the languages becoming extinct. Non-profit organization have been working to preserve these languages by meeting with the last speakers and documenting their language.

Due to lack of medical support obesity is a common health complication among Native Americans.
The Native American culture is very important to the identity and communication between tribes. The native languages are not currently thriving as much as they used to because of boarding schools. In boarding school Natives would literally get beat by Americans until they would not speak their language anymore. Out of fear the Natives they just don't speak their language anymore. English is a more prominent language all over the world.
