This is the life of a familly in particular which comes from Nigeria as well. The family's last name is unknown. They were badly treated back in nigeria and got to escape to the UK. The mother is called Basirat. She has two sons and they all lived a terrible life in Nigeria. When Basirat was just 19 years old, she was already living on the streets in her home country of Nigeria. She had lost her whole familly. Basirat’s first child Abdulahi couldn’t walk or talk properly. Many people thought he was evil. So much so that, when he was just two, he was kidnapped. His little legs had been slashed with razor blades. Basirat and her family shared a room with her husband’s brother. The violence at home continued. He repeatedly raped Basirat and hit her children. Basirat went to hospital and told someone everything. They helped her escape to the UK. despite the fact that she is receiving death threats from her brother in law, and believes her disabled son would be in danger in Nigeria, her first application for emergency financial support was refused. Basirat was then accepted in the refugee action asylum. There her sons got education and they live a very nice life in the UK. This has is a proper/*- match between their life and the novel, except for the fact that Sade and Femi do not have any parents to help them. They both left Nigeria because of the violence. Sade and Femi still had a family before, but it got worse when they killed their mother. In the novel, Sade and Femi were being helped by their freinds but in this article, they were helped by a random person who had mercy for them. They both smuggled in the UK and it took a lot of time for them to settle and to get used to it.

This is a twitter page talks mostly about the education of the young refugees as they get into the countries. The website is about how education is important for anybody. This is targeted to adults specially, so that they can help the refugees to get education. There is a good connection between this article and the novel. The fact that Sade and Femi are very young, makes it obvious that they have time to still improve in education. They will need a lot of help to understand accents, or even to get a proper job. For them, it will be a challenge because they do not have a place to live in, They are all alone and will have to manage to find they want and to settle.
This video is a report about the asylum seekers. They talk about the difference between their old and new life. The report is done in a center where all the asylum seekers are. They tell their stories that lead them to leave their country and their feelings were also shared. The refugees in UK mostly come from Africa, or even from Syria. They all are people who ran away from war like in Somalia or South Sudan. As they left a difficult life behind, they expect a better treatment from European countries, UK, but it is only harder for them because most of the people do not welcome them like they expected it to happen. The black asylum seekers are being exposed to racism. This report describe how the asylum seekers are building a new life, even if they lost everything. It talks about their feelings inside of the war and the things they left behind. They are called in a special centers where they get reported and there they can also assign a job, but to get a job they have to pass an english oral test, so that they are sure that they will be able to deal with the language. It has a relation with the novel as if Sade and Femi do not get a nice welcome, it will be as hard as or even a harder life to restart. They might be too young to work, but it does not mean that they do not need to improve their english.
This website describes what is an Asylum seeker and why they are called so. It tells the difference from refugees and how they get from refugees to asylum seekers. An asylum seeker is someone who is unable to seek protection in their home country, claiming to be in fear of persecution on the grounds of race, religion, nationality, membership. Asylum seekers are told to present themselves to authorities or they will get arrested by authorities because of illegally in the country. It has a link to the novel because Sade and Femi just arrived, and they do not know that they need to report it to the authorities so that will have made them an asylum seeker. Right now they are illegally in the country which means that they are refugees.
