Over 200 years have passed since James Madison introduced the Bill of Rights, the country has changed, and so have its guns. Is the right to bear arms now at odds with the common good or is it still necessary watch this 2hr long video to find out. Just kidding I ignored it but if you scroll down it gives you many reasons for both sides of the argument. Like that the founding fathers could have never foreseen the advancements in technology today. Other arguments are that if the supreme court can nullify one right others may be next.
This article has much more political input than any of the others and states that conservatives need to protect the right to bear arms. It also states that the right may be done away with other wise and that the government is trying to instill cowardice into the populace so that they can gain more power. The authors view seemed to be prejudiced by politics and a general hatred of the government. The author states that the general government participant is uncomfortable with the second amendment and are cowardly. The article is for guns but blames reluctant conservatives for it being called into question.
This article shares both sides of the argument. 62% yes 38% no. Many of the people saying yes are 13 but actually came up with pretty valid arguments such as guns are not killing people, people are killing people. The people saying no gave lots of statistics in really thought out paragraphs. One of these statistics is that 8% of gun accidents involving death include some one that is a teen or younger. Some of the articles however where written by the same people so the percent is a little skewed.
The right to bear arms is constitutional and many restrictions are unconstitutional in the eyes of the author. Such as being put on watch lists on the "chance" you might be linked to some crime or because your last name is the same as some one who committed a crime. Weapons can't be purchased if you are on a government watch list or on the no fly list. This fact aggravated the author very much.
