Literature was quite a big part of Ancient Rome. A lot of original works have been lost however. This is partially due to the fact of how fragile the paper the works were written on. The paper was called papyrus and was very delicate. Most works were also lost because they were discarded in the loss of culture in Rome. The only reason some stories survived was because, Monks rewrote them.
Aqueducts were a huge advancement in the world on architecture. Aqueducts brought water from the Roman hills into their towns, cities, and villages. This piece of architecture took centuries to build but, was overall worth it. The Romans used a lot of water so, this helped!
Roman statues are more well known for their realistic, imperfected art. It was made around 2 AD. This statue of one of their goddesses is a perfect example. She has body rolls and a more realistic body shape. Her thighs are thicker and her shin has some kind of lose skin/ "fat" there.
