Roman Numerals was the number system used by the Ancient Romans. This video is about the many things we still use Roman Numerals for, why we still use them, and how to decipher what Roman Numerals mean. The reason I chose this video for my curation is because even though Latin was created many years ago, and it's considered a "dead language," the number system is still widely used by people today.
In Ancient Rome, Roman artists created very lifelike or surreal sculptures of their gods or idols, to decorate homes or gardens, and they also made miniature figurines. Basically, this article was about an African-American man named Octavious Valentine Catto, who fought for better education for black people and equal voting rights. In honor of his efforts, a statue was constructed at City Hall in Philadelphia. I chose this article because it is a good example of how we currently still use statues as a way to honor important people, just like the Romans.

I think this video is good for my curation because it shows the methods of transporting fresh water created by the Romans, hundreds of years ago, is still in practice today.
