1.In the passage that I have read, It summarizes that our president is having a travel ban on certain countries and those countries are “Chad, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria, Yemen and North Korea”(newsela.com). This means that none one from these countries can come over to the USA. And only Sudan is allowed to come into the country since October 18th, 2017. I personally feel as if this is a good decision on our president but i think it was done the wrong way and we should let people into our country but there needs to be more advanced background checks. 2. This passage has a connection to Kill a Mockingbird because it doesn't matter where you are from you will always get disintegrated. For Example Tom Robinson was an african American and was disintegrated against because of his color and because he was african. This shows that no matter where you are from you will still get disintegrated. And that is the connection from To Kill a Mockingbird and Donald Trump's travel ban.
1. “Rosa Louise Parks was nationally recognized as the “mother of the modern day civil rights movement” in America”(rosa parks.org). Rosa Parks was recognized by her act on the Montgomery Alabama busses. The law stated that if a white male or female gets on the bus a black male or female has to get up and go to the back of the bus while the white person will take their seat. So while Rosa Parks was riding the bus a white man got on the bus and told her to get up and go to the back of the bus and Rosa Parks refused to. The outcome of this situation was Rosa Parks taken into custody. After she got bailed out Dr. Martin Luther King and Rosa parks started a boycott on the Montgomery busses. This meant that all the African Americans would not go on the buses until they let them sit where ever they want. “Thousands of courageous people joined the “protest” to demand equal rights for all people”(rosa parks.org). And the people won against the Montgomery Alabama busses. 2. The discrimination that Rosa Parks faced with the Montgomery busses is similar to the Discrimination that Tom Robinson when he went to court for allegedly raping a white women. Another way that Rosa Parks and Tom Robinson are similar is that they were both arrested. They were also accused of crimes that they did not due and had to face the consequences. https://newsela.com/read/trump-new-travel-restrictions/id/35686 https://www.history.com/topics/black-history/rosa-parks
