Running form is very important as well as it can allow you to avoid injury. My most important tips for this are use your arms a lot, push off your toes, and don't move your head too much. These tips can improve your running ability and speed.
Another great thing to do before you run is stretch. Stretching allows you to avoid injury and can make you run faster. Running tightens your muscles which makes them easier to injure so it is always smart to stretch before and after you run because it can also allow you to avoid getting sore.
Many people don't realize it but your run starts before you even put your running clothes on. There are a lot of things I do before I even get ready. Firstly, I eat very little before I run because there's nothing worse than running on a full stomach, secondly I use the bathroom because a full bladder is just as bad, and lastly I drink a tall glass of water to avoid cramps, these can all be very beneficial to your run.
My rules of running are the following: Wear the right clothing Run at your own pace Drink a lot of water Go to the bathroom before you run Don't eat right before you run Stretch before and after
