A quantitative observation is and observation that is based on measurements, they involve numbers. Example: There are 12 ducks
A qualitative observation is an observation that you get from your 5 senses, and they do NOT have to do with measurements. Example: The ducks are brown and white
An inference is an idea formed from facts or evidence. You get your facts from your observations.
An observation is something that you notice, measure, or detect using your 5 senses.
