There is Observation, Inference, Quantitative, and Qualitative. Observations are what you see. Inference is what you assume. Quantitative is how much you see of something. Qualitative is what something looks like.
First comes the problem, what will you test? Then comes the Hypothesis, what you think will happen. Then the experiment, do an experiment to find the answer to the problem! Next is observation, what happened during the experiment? Next is results, record what happened during the experiment. Lastly, it it is the conclusions, were you right with your hypothesis? Was the experiment succesful?
Standards are what you have to do to use the scientific method. Unit essential question is how can you describe physical interactions between itmes and in the systems of the items.
