A great movie about the Cold War was 13 days. 13 days was about the Cuban Missile Crisis and how we went about it. It shows us a very good perspective of how the whole process affected Kennedy and what really went down in his head. I think it is an accurate representation of what happened throughout the whole 13 days that this event was prolonged too.
Artwork is one of the biggest mediums of public expression when it comes to the Cold War. This is because of the widespread propaganda and political cartoons. Political cartoons basically took a political idea and made it into a funny looking animated image, often times making fun of or making the person they are against look dumb.
This is Julius and Ethel Rosenberg. These are two spies sent from the Soviet Union. They took top secret files about radar, sonar, and jet propulsion engines to the USSR and were also accused of stealing nuclear weapon designs. Once eventually tried, and convicted, they were the first ever convicts of a crime to be executed.
Cold War is a tv documentary series. It touches on the major points and events that occurred throughout the figurative war. Each episode presents interviews and footage of the major events that established the intense connection between the United States, and the Soviet Union. The series gives a great perspective on the historic events that helped shape the US and Russian relationship today.
The Cold War was a long period of attempted espionage, lies, and deception. But the Cold War is well known for the Cuban Missile Crisis as being the closest we were to war since the last one. Considering we had such strong tension with the Soviets but when Reagan and Gorbachev were running their countries it ended smoothly without even having to go to war. It was a political war at best but not a guns war. Similar to how a fight could be an argument, or an actual fist fight. But in this case it was an argument that was one bad word away from missile warfare.
The Cold War was essentially a war fought with words. Such as propaganda, political cartoons, and newspaper articles. The news articles would tell the news and present what is going down that people should know about. But they also put their own little twist on it. Its well knows that certain news sources put a little bias into their reports. But when dealing with potential war, it’s definitely a fuel to the flame. The news sources are supposed to present the fact and analyze them, but they analyze them with their own opinion and not a non bias perspective.
