On Aug. 21, 2017, a total solar eclipse darkened the skies from Oregon to South Carolina. My partner and I and my kids (in the photo) drove to Paducah, Kentucky, to be in the path of totality. It was absolutely incredible, and we will remember it forever!
This concert was epic! It was 7 hours long (with a 3 hour rain delay) at Wrigley Field. I saw this with my then-boyfriend-now-partner back in 2013. It was truly an incredible night in the stadium with 40,000 of our closest friends.
I am an ally for Black Lives Matter. I believe very strongly that it is time for us to step up and work to guarantee equality and equity for every single person in this country. We have built this country on the backs of stolen lives, and that legacy continues to affect every single one of us. Black Lives Matter works toward equity for all of those who are minorities in our country and who experience oppression and violence. We can't look the other way any longer; we have to get involved.
I am working on my Doctorate in Educational Technology from Central Michigan University. I am incredibly busy, taking 6 credits per semester year round, plus working full time and having two young children, but education is important to me. I never want to stop learning and stop researching.
