I think this is a very good cite because it gives you a lot of facts to know more about the solar eclipse. It tells you that the longest time solar eclipse has ever lasted was 7.5 minuets long. It also informs you that the width of totality is about 160 km long and can sweep the surface of earth as long as 10,000 miles long! I also feel like it has good pictures describing what a solar eclipse looks like and how it is made.
I thought that this was a very good picture and description of a solar eclipse. I think this because it is very clear that the suns rays are hitting the moon. Then the shadow for the moon passes on a certain part of the earth. In this solar eclipse that is passing through the moons shadow is fairly close to where we live giving us 85% of the moon covering the sun.
I thought this is a very good cite to go to if you have no idea what or when the solar eclipse is. If you are a visual person there is a bunch of pictures and graphs telling you what a solar eclipse is and how it is made. This cite has the path of people lucky enough to see a total solar eclipse. It also states in the passage that the last time a total solar eclipse pasted over the U.S.A was in 1979, that was 38 years ago!
I thought this cite was more interesting than the other cites. I thought this because as I was reading this cite I read in paragraph 5 it states that people use to think that a eclipse was a time of sacrifice and war. It also says that pregnant women and children where not allowed to go outside during an eclipse for there own safety. During a solar eclipse birds are known roost because of the dark one to two minutes that it is there instincts to go to there nest when it is dark.
