“Bury my body wherever you will; let not care of it cause you any concern. One thing only I ask you, that you remember me at the altar of the Lord wherever you may be.” (St. Augustine, quoting his mother, St. Monica; Confessions; from Office of the Readings for August 27)
My personal opinion is that St. Monica was being true to herself and wanted people to become catholic or Christian. To St. Monica nothing was far from God. If you had enough faith and loyalty to God you could ask God for guidance and help. For example, she asked God to help her family become closer to God and be catholic. When she asked that her whole family wanted to be catholic except for Augustine. When she asked that God help her with that it happened Augustine wanted to be catholic. I believe that St. Monica showed these two bible verses a lot.
He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” This means to me that if you have little faith then you can’t just ask Jesus to do something. You should pray and get strong in your faith before you start asking Jesus or God to help you or do something for you.
"A Canaanite woman cries out to Jesus to heal her daughter. ... We may believe that Jesus was “truly human,” but we don't want him to be too human.”. This means to me that I should be the human that Jesus has made me to be. I shouldn’t the human I want to be.
