People arent really getting there votes counted. If your state votes opposite of you then your vote doesnt count. people want there votes counted and the only way for that is to go with popular vote. So lets get rid of the Electoral college.
There are several reasons why we should get rid of the electoral college and this list 10. For instance there can be a tie. If this would happen then it would take longer for us to pick a president. The faster we get the new president into office the faster we can get stuff done. So lets abolish the Electoral college.
Douglas McAdam tells us that the system is flawed. Every vote doesnt always count. if you vote for one person and your state decides to go with someone else then your vote doesnt count. Thats one of the main reason it doesnt work. If we would get rid of it then everyones vote would count. That is why we should abolish it.
This video shows that the way the electoral college gives its votes out is not fair. States with big populations should have more votes like Ohio should have 20 but it only has 18. The two votes it loses go to Road Island so know it has 4. People think that if we go to popular vote instead that the candidates would focus on the big cities but that wouldnt get them enough votes to win. So if we could get rid of the electoral college then then we wouldnt have to worry about how the votes are given to the states.
In this picture its explaining that the electoral college is not a very good system. It explains that even though you vote for the person that you want to put into office that your vote might not always count. Your state will put all its electoral votes into one canindent and it might not be the person you wanted. that is why the system is flawed. we need to switch to popular vote
