During one of his testimonies, Gravano affirmed that "The Godfather" was considered by him as an honorable film which exposed how honorable a mafia job and life was as well as how it influenced other gangs in order to act in a certain way, but also to consider the mob life in the novel and movie as an influence, motivation, and interpretation of current mafias of the time.
