Captain jack was a freedom fighter for the Klamath tribe. He fought the United Sates Government who was taking their land. Captain Jack was hanged on October 3, 1873 for the murder of white US Army General: Edward Canby.

The Klamath Tribe practice many celebrations through dance and music. Throughout these celebrations they use music, specially a rattle made out of a deer horn. This rattle is used to make music or sound within their celebrations of joyce, happiness, and faith.

The Klamath Tribe use clothing to represent themselves and show differentiability within the tribe. One of the ways they show this is through feather pieces in their hair. The feather plume was plucked from a bird within the area and put upon their hair.

A dictionary of the native Klamath language of Oregon. It was made by Albert Samuel Gatschet. It took two years to make(1875 to 1877). From what we know this was a rough draft because the book had “edit marks”(pencil marks that we assumed were corrections to his original works).
