Injuries in the Olympics are becoming a major problem, more injuries are becoming common. The most common injury’s found in Olympians is the shin splint, collarbone brakes, and fracturing a tibia or Fibula. Many doctors have been tracking how recent and how many times an injury occurs in an Olympian.
The 2016 Rio Olympics had a few setbacks. One of them being safety; In Rio during the Olympics two member of the Australian Paralympic team were robbed. Also, another problem is health. During the Olympics the Zika virus was going on, and swarming especially in Rio. Plus, the polluted water didn’t help the Zika virus get any better.
The Olympic games we know today, was not what we knew then. The Olympics, were originated in ancient Greece. Physical fitness and mental discipline was what the Greeks thought that you’d have to have to honor Zeus. The games however lead back to the values and beliefs of Greek society.
The well know Usain Bolt, is one of the greatest Olympians. He is the first person to hold the 100 and 200 meter-dash. Also he holds the world record as part of the 4 x 10 meter-dash. In one of his races he crossed the finish line with a time of 9.81.
