I have a dog named Jed who I absolutely love. We got him on April 6, 2013, so we have had him for over four years.
I (and my sister) do Tae Kwon Do outside of school. I am currently a second degree black belt, and am supposed to test for my third degree in April or May of next year.
I am roughly 50 percent Eastern European Jewish, or also known as Ashkenazi Jewish. My great-grandmother is from Poland and moved to America by herself at the age of thirteen before World War I. My great-grandfather is from Ukraine and moved to America by himself, which is how he met my great-grandmother. Unfortunately, other then my great-grandparents, the rest of my ancestors from that time period died due to their religion. My last name, Konell, is the Americanized version of my actual last name, Konovaloff, which comes from Ukraine.
I am 25 percent British, as my grandmother is from Northern Ireland and moved to England as a child. Later on in her life, as an adult, she moved out to America on her own for nothing more than a new adventure in life. Because of my British roots, I have grown up drinking lots of tea. I have lots of relatives who live in England and visiting them last year in 2016 was a blast.
Though my appearance doesn't show it (at all), I am 25 percent Indian. My great-grandfather was one of Mahatma Gandhi's attorneys during the Indian Independence. A picture of my grandfather spinning a cotton wheel was used for propaganda for Indian Independence. Though my grandfather moved to America as an adult, I still have family there and I want to go India someday. Because of my Indian roots, I have been expected to like certain Indian foods, such as curry and tikka masala.
When I am older, I want to become a math teacher. In order to accomplish that, I want to earn my Bachelor's Degree and major in mathematics and get my Master's Degree in education.
I have a younger sister named Lila, who is currently 12 years old. I consider her one of my best friends and I can't imagine what my life would be like without her.
I love traveling and have been to 10 countries outside of the United States. The countries I have been to are Canada, Greece, Turkey, Israel, Croatia, Italy, Germany, Ecuador, England, and Wales. Whenever I get the opportunity to travel, I always jump on the opportunity if I am able to do so.
I am a huge Star Wars Fan! I have a DVD set of the three movies from the original trilogy (A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi). I have also listened to the album Princess Leia's Stolen Death Star Plans in its entirety on YouTube multiple times.
