Continental drift has a theory that explained how continents shift position on Earth's surface and that is called Pangaea. A man by the name of Alfred Wegner believed that three million years ago there had m=been a place called Pangaea. He tried many different trials to make this hypothesis true such as finding common animals in different places and pieces mountains together
A man named Alfred Wegner was the first person to come up with the idea of a big continent of Pangaea. There are four evidence for this to be a theory. The fitting of continents, fossil correlation, rock mountain correlation, and paleoclimate data.
These plates make up the lithosphere and float on the asthenosphere. Since we have convection currents, three types of plate boundaries, divergent boundaries, convergent boundaries, and transform boundaries.
These plates make up the lithospere. These plates moves and are categorizes into three types of tectonic boundaries. They are called convergent boundaries which plates move to one another, divergent boundaries which have plates moving away from each other, and transform that have plates sliding against each other.
