A timeline of how the Syrian crisis came to be starting with shots being fired at peaceful protesters by Syrian dictator Assad. some began to fight back beginning a new military. later ISIS branches off from the first group to fight against the state the war expanded after allies and enemies started funding groups for or against the government. more countries like the US began getting involved to fight ISIS who is now growing, This video shows how the situation started and why it is happening and what is still going on today. As time went on more and more countries have gotten involved to fight against or with ISIS and other rebel groups. not only have countries gotten involved over time but minds have changed over time as well as the war has progressed.
Trump ordered an airstrike on Syria after a chemical weapons attack on the people of Syria. ordering the airstrike shows a change in his position of the refugee crisis going on in Syria. before Trump and his administration wanted nothing to do with the refugees of Syria and did not care too much about helping them. after being notified of the chemical attack he had a change of mind on the issue thus leading him to make a decision of ordering a airstrike.
Current President Trump signs an executive Order to ban all entrance of persons traveling from majority Muslim countries including those who live in Syria where war is happening. he issues the order to protect us from any terrorist who may be travelling from these majority Muslim countries while disregarding the need of asylum for refugees. This video shows the president's stance on the refugee crisis, not really caring for the people who seek a safe place. his stance has changed numerous times which we will see.
In 2014 the US and other countries have formed a coalition to attack terrorists in Syria to bring down ISIS. This shows our involvement and other countries' involvement trying to fix the root of the refugee crisis. many countries were in on airstrikes to take out ISIS in the early stages of the crisis but many have also redrawn for many reasons. The involvement of different countries shows their position depending on their reason for being involved. some countries may draw away from the issue, some may join further down the line or just become more involved than previously.
